Shocking New Audio Reveals Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon's Secret Campaign Against The Intactivist Movement
Brendon Marotta's story is confirmed through new audio.
In shocking new audio released on a follow-up episode of the Blocked and Reported Podcast, Bruchim founder Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon discusses his secret meetings within the intactivist movement and attempts to pressure the intactivist movement into accepting his agenda through negative media hit pieces.
The audio was sent to the show by filmmaker and author Brendon Marotta, after he published a public response to the podcasts hit piece on the intactivist movement, meticulously debunking their claims. You can listen to his full response here.
The following clips are excerpts from an on-the-record interview conducted by a journalist hired by Marotta to investigate Ungar-Sargon's activities. Marotta asserts that Ungar-Sargon willingly participated in this interview, fully aware he was being recorded. Below are the clips with Marotta’s commentary:
In this clip, Eliyahu concludes from a single "offhand comment" that I do not recall ever saying, that I am a "white nationalist." He also acknowledges that I have never said anything white nationalist outside his false claim. This also confirms the pattern I discuss in my response audio that Eliyahu deliberately makes his claims unfalsifiable.
Marotta has denied Ungar-Sargon’s claims about the conversation he describes here. In his response audio, Marotta describes Ungar-Sargon as “mentally unwell” during their last conversation due to the election of Donald Trump, and ranting about how “we need to abolish whiteness.”
In this clip, Eliyahu confirms that he had secret meetings with the "top echelon" of the intactivist movement in which he slandered me and wanted them to attack me and my film on his behalf.
Marotta has previous stated on his own substack that: “Around 2016, Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon had secret meetings with the ‘top echelon of the Intactivist movement.’” Top echelon was in quotes in that article, suggesting that Marotta was directly referencing this audio. This audio confirms that Marotta’s story is true and that Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon had secret meetings with leading intactivists to sabatoge the release of Marotta’s documentary American Circumcision.
In this clip, Eliyahu describes asking intactivists to disavow Clopper and myself. When he does get his way, he turns to journalists to "have pressure come from the outside." (last line of clip) This shows a behavior of publishing hit pieces on the movement to get them to do what he wants.
The “Georganne” referenced in this clip is likely Georganne Chapin, director of Intact America. This clip also indicates that Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon had secret meetings with the director of Intact America, demanding that she publicly attack both Brendon Marotta and Eric Clopper. When she refused, Ungar-Sargon went on to publicly attack Chapin as a source of antisemitism in the movement and participate in a hit piece in The Guardian calling the intactivist movement “alt right.”
In this clip, Eliyahu claims that the American intactivist movement is "tolerant of racism" because they would not disavow and publicly attack me based on a single false claim by him. He then suggests that he met with European activists who were more receptive. I have had at least one European activist confirm that they did not support my film due to his campaign.
Marotta on his podcast “The Path to Children’s Justice” said that a “Jewish filmmaker” had traveled to Europe to slander his film. Ungar-Sargon visited Europe when Iceland was considering banning circumcision. This audio confirms that aspect of Marotta’s story.
In this clip, Eliyahu claims I "was a member of the alt right," had an account on "their online forums," and suggests that liking online meme culture is evidence of white nationalism. I'd love to know exactly which online forums he is making a factual claim I have an account on.
Marotta’s commentary “I'd love to know exactly which online forums he is making a factual claim I have an account on” suggest that Marotta is treating this as a defamatory claim.
The hosts of Blocked and Reported present the contents of this audio as if they are widely recognized among journalists. However, the surprising revelation that a prominent figure within the anti-circumcision movement is secretly undermining the movement may come as a shock.
Those involved with Ungar-Sargon and his organization Bruchim have previously been silent on Marotta’s allegations that they have been involved in a slander campaign intended to harm the intactivist movement. However, the emergence of this audio might generate a necessary dialogue within the movement about how to address Ungar-Sargon’s betrayal.
