Intact America Speaker Says Intact America Is Responsible For Antisemitism In The Intactivist Movement
Bruchim founder Eilyahu Ungar-Sargon claims a speech by Georganne Chapin led to the "radicalization" of the intactivist movement.
Intact America speaker Eilyahu Ungar-Sargon claims a 2014 speech by Intact America director Georganne Chapin led to antisemitism in the intactivist movement.
In an article for Jewschool, Ungar-Sargon claims that Chapin’s speech “Whose Political Correctness? Changing Language, Viewpoints and Tactics in Today’s intactivist Movement” at the 13th International Symposium on Genital Autonomy and Children’s Rights “set the stage” for the intactivist movement to be taken over by the “alt right.”
Ungar-Sargon connects this speech to the rise of white nationalism, the online image board 4chan, and alt right leader Richard Spencer, by suggesting that the intactivist movement is full “white, aggrieved men” who “have always been the bull’s eye for fascists.” He suggests that Chapin’s speech contributed to a “process of radicalization” of the movement.
Ungar-Sargon has made similiar allegations in the past. In a Dazed Digital article on the intactivist movement titled “How Intactivist’s Anti-Circumcision Movement Was Co-opted By The Alt-Right” Eilyahu Ungar-Sargon cites Georganne Chapin’s 2014 speech as well. In an interview with The Guardian, Ungar-Sargon states that the leadership of the intactivist movement is “alt right” over video of an Intact America sign.
Intact America responded to these accusations by inviting Eilyahu Ungar-Sargon to speak at their Intact 2022 conference which took place just months after Ungar-Sargon published his article on Jewschool attacking them.
