Eric Clopper Disavows Previous Work In Video With Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon
Conte News reporting confirmed in new video.
In a video posted on Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon's YouTube channel, Eric Clopper and Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon express their unity against antisemitism, and Clopper disavows his previous work on Sex & Circumcision: An American Love Story.
The video acknowledges that Ungar-Sargon and Clopper were previously adversaries due to criticisms of Clopper as antisemitic. However, in the video, they embrace and affirm their shared commitment to collaboration moving forward.
The video confirms previous reporting by Conte News that Ungar-Sargon and Clopper spoke at the Intact 2022 conference, where they mended their previous rift.
Most surprisingly of all, Clopper disavows his previous performance Sex & Circumcision: An American Love Story, stating, “That was an expression of how I was feeling at the time, and I was angry. And that can manifest itself in comments that are actually detrimental to our shared goal of protecting children from genital mutilation.”
It is unclear from the video whether Clopper believes his past supporters or defenders are also antisemitic, or if Ungar-Sargon intends to repair relationships with other activists he has criticized publicly.
Eric concludes the video by saying, “I unequivocally denounce antisemitism.”
